Lesson 1. Buried Treasure
As John and Mary were walking their dog one evening, John noticed something poking out of the ground. Using a stick, he uncovered a heavy, old, rusty can. They carried the can back home and pried it open. Inside, they discovered the can was full of gold coins dated between 1855 and 1894!
Using a metal detector, John and Mary found seven more cans containing more than 1,400 gold coins, worth more than $10 million!
Mary and John had been struggling to pay their bills. “The answer to our difficulties had been right under our feet for years!” Mary said.
Many people face difficulties in life. They struggle to find answers to their most important questions while the help they need is “right there” in the Bible! Dear Father in heaven, thank You for giving us the Bible so we can learn who You are and how much You love us. In Jesus’ name, amen
