In our fast-paced and increasingly complex world, stress has become part of daily life. Modern life presents a myriad of stressors, ranging from work pressures and financial concerns to personal relationships and societal issues. The constant connectivity and information overload brought about by technology also contribute to heightened stress levels. Chronic stress is now recognised as a major public health issue, linked to a variety of health problems including heart disease, diabetes, depression, and anxiety.
Understanding and managing stress is more relevant than ever, as it not only affects individual health but also has broader implications for society. Effective stress- management strategies can improve quality of life, enhance productivity, and promote overall well-being, making the study and understanding of stress crucial in contemporary society.
In this series, we will explore the different kinds of stress: chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, and panic attacks – things that we all go through during our lives.
