Pathfinder Bible Experience

Unlock a life-changing adventure!
The Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) is a fantastic team challenge that dives deep into Scripture. Imagine your child/teenager (10-18 years) eagerly exploring the timeless oracles of God.
PBE isn't just about memorization; it's about fostering a genuine connection with the Bible, building teamwork skills, and creating lasting memories.
The book for this year
This year (2025-2026), our Pathfinder Bible Experience will center on the powerful and profound book of Isaiah, chapters 1 through 33!

Ready for a new experience?

We have started!
Our training kicked off this summer - 28 June 2025! We'll be diving in with engaging introductions, comprehensive overviews, and highlighting the key texts that will enrich your understanding and memory.
We'll also lay out a clear plan to navigate the entire book, marking the chapters and ensuring a rewarding and successful experience for everyone.

PBE Camp in September
Picture three fantastic days of learning in teams, exploring the Bible and taking the first quizzes. But it's not just about studying – we'll have loads of fun playing games and cozying up around a bonfire.
This camp will be a brilliant chance to connect as a team, really understand Isaiah, and make some awesome memories together.

Testing the knowledge
In early 2026 (January), your child and their team will have the exciting opportunity to test their knowledge alongside other Pathfinders in their area.
Achieving a set standard opens doors to further enriching experiences at the regional level (February), national level (March), and finally the international level (April)!
"Your eyes shall see your teachers.
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
'This is the way, walk in it!'"
(Isaiah 30:20-21)
Everyone is a winner!

What's special about PBE is that every team that meets the benchmark advances, thus discouraging a winner-takes-all kind of competition. This nurtures a spirit of collaboration and celebrates collective effort. The energy of these gatherings is contagious, motivating young minds to absorb and understand Scripture like never before.

Here's the wonderful truth about PBE: every Pathfinder is a winner! It's not about where they stand at the end of the competition. Their victory lies in the precious time they've dedicated to immersing themselves in God's Word, diligently expanding their understanding of the Bible. This exciting journey of discovery and spiritual growth is a reward in itself!

Give your child the gift of a deeper understanding of God's Word, the thrill of teamwork, and the satisfaction of achievement. Encourage them to embark on the Pathfinder Bible Experience in 2026 – it's an investment in their spiritual growth and a journey they won't forget!
Mapping Isaiah (for a team of 6)

Isaiah chapters 1 through 33 encompass 33 chapters and 649 verses.
For a 6-participant team in the Pathfinder Bible Experience focusing on this portion of Isaiah, this would mean an average of approximately 110 verses per team member.
For the Pathfinder Bible Experience, there are 63 significant verses from Isaiah chapters 1-33 that ALL team members should know.
These crucial passages include:
1:18-20, 2:1-4, 5:20, 6:1-13, 7:10-14, 8:19-20, 9:1-7, 11:1-9, 14:12-21, 17:7-8, 25:9, 29:11-12, and 30:20-21.
Considering the diverse strengths and ages within a 6-participant Pathfinder Bible Experience team tackling Isaiah 1-33, here are three adaptable strategies for sharing and memorising the chapters. Choose the approach that best accommodates your team's unique composition:

1. Flexible Individual Allocation
Recognising varying individual capacities, the 33 chapters can be distributed with flexibility. While aiming for an average of around 5-6 chapters per person, leaders can strategically assign fewer chapters to younger or less confident members and slightly more to older or more experienced individuals.
The key is open communication and ensuring everyone feels a manageable sense of responsibility without feeling overwhelmed. This method allows for personalized learning paces and focuses individual efforts effectively.

2. Supportive Paired Learning
Pairing members can leverage different strengths. One member can be teamed with another, each one having their primary chapter assignments. One can act as a mentor and study partner for their teammate's chapters.
This provides built-in support, encourages collaborative learning, and ensures that even those who might struggle individually have a knowledgeable partner to help reinforce understanding and memorization. The reserve aspect can be both backup and mutual support and encouragement within the pair.

3. Collaborative Trio Approach
Dividing the team into two trios allows for shared learning and leverages collective knowledge. Each member of a trio learns all the chapters assigned to their group (roughly half of material). Stronger members can help explain concepts and quiz others, while everyone contributes to repetition and a shared understanding.
This method fosters a sense of collective responsibility and can reduce individual pressure, as the knowledge base for their section resides within the trio.
